The Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean coasts enjoy a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. In July and August the temperatures are at their highest, averaging 29 degrees Celsius and high humidity.
The Black Sea Region has a more moderate climate with warm summers and mild winters but there is more rainfall in this area, than in other regions.
Spring or autumn are the best times to visit Turkey for sightseeing and relaxation after medical treatment. In the spring, Turkey enjoys a dry and warm temperature, and in the autumn, the seas are still warm enough for swimming.
Ankara and Istanbul are cold and damp in the winter and the coastal region is rainy. The high season is between mid April and mid October.
