Prices for dentistry and surgery abroad are becoming increasingly attractive for US, UK and European patients and the cost of cosmetic surgery, dentistry, elective surgery and IVF treatment in Turkey is particularly competitive when compared with prices in the US and the UK. Treatment prices in Turkey are lower due to lower wages and cheaper medication (around half the price of the UK, for example). As a result, international patients can expect to save around 50% on their private healthcare.
If you're interested in cosmetic surgery a Rhinoplasty procedure - or "nose job" - costs £2,000 at Jinemed Hospital in Istanbul, compared with £3,500 in a UK private hospital/clinic and US$6,000 in the States. A facelift at Jinemed costs under £3,000, compared with around £6,000 in the UK and US$11,000 in the States.
Fertility treatment is also very competitively priced. At Jinemed Hospital, an ICSI cycle costs £1,500 (or US$3,000) and the hospital also offers special 'treatment' packages including 17 nights in a three or four star hotel, hotel transfers and breakfast.
Savings can also be made on cosmetic dentistry and elective surgery. The bill for a single white bonded composite filling, for example, will cost in the region of £45 (or US $79) in Turkey, compared with £85 in the UK, or US$149 in the States. The bill for a hip replacement is around £8,000 in the UK, or US$14,000 in the US, but in Turkey almost 50% can be saved as the bill for this procedure is around £4,000 (US$7,000).
